With more than a 1,000 people watching on November 2nd, the US Capitol Christmas tree was harvested from the “Little Ski Hill” west of McCall by hand with a cross saw. The long day was full of enthusiasm for the team. If you did not get to see it live or haven’t had the opportunity to watch it on social media, here’s a link to the news footage: http://www.ktvb.com/news/local/ktvb-live-coverage-the-harvesting-of-the-u-s-capitol-christmas-tree/346321430. The tree spanned across both lanes of traffic while it was escorted into town to be carefully packaged up for the remainder of the journey.
Saturday, November 5th, there will be a live parade downtown McCall at 5 pm. If you will not be able to make it to the festivities, you are in LUCK because we will be keeping you up to date. Stay tuned!
